I went down to the Starbucks on W March Lane. When I got there I found the drive-thru to be quite busy. Before I entered, I expected to see a lot of young customers in the store. When I enter I was very shocked to see a lot of older people. Normally my generation is all about Starbucks, to a stereotypical point. I went and ordered a Iced peach green tea with little sweetener. I sat down with my drink and observed my new surroundings. From the looks of it, all the customers currently at the shop were middle to lower middle class. Including me, the gender ratio was balanced at 3 women, 3 men. Not so surprising, there were a lot of white customers. There were two Asians, and later on a few black people came in. The customers were normally wearing a T-shirt, or something equivalent, and pants of some kind. There were a few customers who came in real quick that were in business attire. They quickly got there drink and left. Another thing that surprised was that no one was taking at first. Almost the entire time I was there no one said anything except for “try this”. It surprised me since it was the older generation customers who were glued to their phones. I was able to see what two customers were playing. It was some mobile app on their phones. Two other customers were in there laptops with some kind of listening equipment. One customers seemed to be a student doing class/homework while drinking a regular cup of coffee. It was not until the end when a pair of friends came in talking. It was a old black and a old white women who seemed very friendly. For the most part they were talking about their feelings towards friends and about an upcoming birthday. I left not soon after they got their order of coffee and cherry muffin.
